WISE supports innovative achievements in education
WISE will differentiate itself from all other education-related initiatives through its action-oriented WISE Awards 2009. This original feature of the event aims at highlighting innovative education-related projects, may that be tools, practices or processes, and fostering cross-educational collaboration.
For its premiere edition, the ‘WISE Awards 2009’ will award six concrete achievements in three categories, aligned with the Forum’s three main themes: Pluralism, Sustainability and Innovation with two awards given in each theme.
The submissions will be reviewed by a high-level committee of international experts.
Each of the 6 laureates will receive a WISE Prize Award of $20,000, awarded during the WISE Gala Dinner, to be held on November 17th, 2009.
The laureates will also be given the opportunity to showcase their projects during the WISE Forum.
Aside from financial support, the WISE Awards 2009 will offer laureates international exposure, helping them reach out to new audiences and networks worldwide, including education and research practitioners, politicians, businesses, social stakeholders, the cultural world, NGOs, etc.
The WISE Awards 2009 is open to any public and private participants in the education field. Projects can be submitted from May 1st, 2009, through the website www.wise-qatar.org
